Hello from Jan Phillips Scottie Rescue… and here I am with my Rescue Scottie Kirsty rescued with five other Scotties in very poor condition from a Puppy Farm in Northern Queeensland six years ago.Three of those Scotties still survive Kirsty being one of them
Scotties come to me from all sorts of situations sometimes their owners have passed away or the family is being sent overseas, maybe the Scottie does not get on with their other animals or even another family member. Sometimes too they come from Animal Shelters
Whatever the reason I am here to find them a new forever home.
Because I am lucky enough to have our Scottie Group of Scottie and Westie owners behind me… with over a hundred members Australia wide.. re-homing the Scotties is never difficult…but I don’t always rely on that as I also have a file of people wanting to take on a mature dog. I fund raise myself through the re-homing and through our Scottie Group so the Scottie goes to its new home having been vet checked and treated for any visible health problems to the new owner who pays for any reasonable expenses occurred with the rescue. Please note the other adoption form is when you actually adopt the Scottie from u
If you would like to surrender a Scottie to us distance normally is not a problem so Scotties can be recued from any part of Australia through services such as Jet Pet. Anyone wishing to surrender a Scottie can be assured, we will take care of the transporting and finding of a new home for the Scottie
In the early days my Sister and I kept the Scotties… until we really had to find other owners as the supply became too much for us to keep all of them and we realised there were people out there just as great to own a Rescue as us!!
